The bait is made with a low dose of imidacloprid in a liquid gel formulation, with a delayed killing action of foraging ants. They will be drawn to the liquid droplet to feed, before returning to their nest along with the ingested lethal dose. Colony eradication is subsequently achieved through sharing of food among each other – a definite example of Domino effect.
